“No one is coming to save you—because you were never meant to be rescued. That’s the plot twist. But also the power: the beginning of your return to your voice, your body, your power, your magic.”

Ebonée Collens

Ebonée Collens is a storyteller of many forms—writer, actress, creator, and witness to the quiet resilience of the human spirit.

Born and based in New York, she carries the rhythm of the city and the stillness of soul work in equal measure. Her work lives at the intersection of truth-telling and transformation.

Creatively inspired by ancestral wisdom, nature, music, movement, and the poetry of everyday life, Ebonée brings a voice to the page that is raw yet hopeful, grounded yet luminous. Heroes Don’t Exist is her first offering in a much larger unfolding—a glimpse of a village not yet visible, but already calling.

This book is not just a reflection of where she’s been, but a sacred marker of where we all might be headed. Back to ourselves. Forward into the light.
